Xalacom 2.5 ml Eye Drops is used to treat elevated intraocular pressure and glaucoma, as it contains two active ingredients, providing a more potent effect in lowering eye pressure.

Xalacom Eye Drops ingredients

Xalacom contains the following active substances:

• Latanoprost: Increases the natural outflow of aqueous humor, which reduces its amount inside the eye, thereby lowering intraocular pressure.

• Timolol: Works through a different mechanism by reducing the production of aqueous humor in the eye, contributing to decreased intraocular pressure.

Xalacom eye drops uses

Xalacom eye drops are used for:

• Treating open-angle glaucoma.

• Lowering elevated intraocular pressure.

Xalacom eye drops dosage

• The recommended dose is one drop daily in the affected eye.

• Wash hands thoroughly before use.

• Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface, including the eye.

• Wait at least 5 minutes before using another eye drop.

• Remove contact lenses before applying Xalacom; they can be reinserted 15 minutes after use.

Xalacom eye drops side effects

Xalacom may cause some side effects, such as:

• Changes in iris color.

• Burning or itching of the eyes.
