Ingredients of Patanol Eye Drops

Patanol contains the active ingredient Olopatadine at a concentration of 1 mg. Olopatadine is an antihistamine that reduces the activity of histamine, the chemical compound responsible for allergy symptoms.

Patanol eye drops are used to relieve symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis, such as:

  • Itchy eyes

  • Redness

Dosage and Instructions for Use

  • The usual dose is one drop in each affected eye, twice daily.

  • Avoid touching the dropper tip to the surface of the eye during use.

  • Wait at least 5 minutes before using any other eye drops.

  • Do not wear contact lenses if the eyes are red.

  • Remove contact lenses before applying Patanol and wait 15 minutes before reinserting them.
