Paraxon 30Caps

Paraxone 30 Capsules contain chlorzoxazone, a centrally acting muscle relaxant that works by inhibiting the activity of the central nervous system to reduce muscle spasms, and paracetamol, an analgesic and antipyretic that works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis and reducing pain signals. It is used to relieve pain and discomfort associated with acute musculoskeletal injuries.

• Relief of muscle spasms and pain caused by sprains, strains, or painful muscle injuries.

• Treatment of lower back pain, tension headaches, myositis, fibrositis, and spondylitis.

• Relief of joint pain and cases of neck stiffness (torticollis).

• Pain relief in cervical or disc root syndromes.

How to Use paraxone Tablets

• Usual adult dose (12 years and above): Two capsules four times daily, with a maximum of 8 capsules per day.

• Elderly patients or those with renal impairment: The physician may reduce the dose.

• Always follow your doctor’s instructions and do not exceed the prescribed dose.

Side Effects

• Gastrointestinal: Digestive disturbances, abdominal pain, and rarely gastrointestinal bleeding.

• Nervous system: Drowsiness, dizziness, lightheadedness, general malaise, or overstimulation.

• Allergic reactions: Skin rash, blisters, bruising, and very rarely angioedema or anaphylaxis.

• Renal: Rare urine discoloration with no known clinical significance.

• Hepatic: Very rare but serious, potentially fatal liver toxicity.

Precautions and Warnings

• Contraindicated in patients allergic to chlorzoxazone, paracetamol, or any component of the product.

• Contraindicated in cases of liver failure, acute porphyria, or concurrent use of any other medication containing paracetamol.

• Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney disease, alcohol dependence, or redness/swelling at the pain site.

• Discontinue immediately if symptoms suggestive of liver dysfunction or allergic reactions occur.

• Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

• May cause drowsiness or dizziness; caution is advised when driving or operating machinery.

Drug Interactions

• Do not take it with any other medication containing paracetamol to avoid overdose risk.

Storage

• Store below 30°C in the original packaging.

• Keep out of the reach of children.
