Description

Panadol Extend is essentially a long-acting paracetamol tablet. According to the manufacturer, it is a “sustained release formulation” of paracetamol that is gentle on the body and provides long-lasting relief.

The caplet’s bi-layer technology means one portion dissolves immediately for quick pain relief, while the rest is released gradually over 6–8 hours.

In practice, this means Panadol Extend can relieve pain and reduce fever for up to eight hours with one dose – significantly longer than ordinary paracetamol tablets (which last about 4–6 hours).

  • Each Panadol Extend caplet contains 665 mg of paracetamol (acetaminophen) as the active ingredient.

  • The caplet also contains Hypromellose, Pregelatinised Starch, Povidone, Magnesium Stearate, Croscarmellose Sodium, Stearic Acid, Triacetin, Carnauba Wax.
