Guaphan Dm Syrup - 100 Ml

Guavan DM Syrup 100 ml is a medicine containing a dual combination of guaifenesin and dextromethorphan hydrobromide at concentrations of 100 mg and 10 mg per 5 ml, respectively. It works by reducing the viscosity of mucus secretions in the respiratory tract, making coughs more productive, while also calming the cough center in the brain to reduce coughing episodes.

• Temporary relief of cough caused by mild throat or bronchial irritation, such as in cases of the common cold.

• Loosens and helps expel phlegm from the airways.

• Makes coughing more effective in clearing the respiratory tract.

guaphan syrup dose

• Adults and children 12 years and older: 10 ml every 4 hours.

• Children 6 to under 12 years: 5 ml every 4 hours.

• Maximum: 6 doses per day.

Note: Not to be used in children under 6 years of age.

• Gastrointestinal disturbances.

Precautions and Warnings

• Do not use it to treat chronic or persistent cough caused by smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema unless directed by a physician.

• Avoid use if the cough is accompanied by excessive mucus unless under medical supervision.

• If the cough persists for more than a week, or is accompanied by fever, rash, or persistent headache, consult a doctor.

• Do not use if taking or have taken monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) within the past two weeks.

• Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Drug Interactions

• Interferes with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) used for depression, certain neurological and psychiatric disorders, or Parkinson’s disease.

Storage

• Store at room temperature between 15–25 °C.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package.
