Glucare 500 is an oral tablet containing the active ingredient metformin hydrochloride, belonging to the biguanide class of drugs. It is used to control blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes, especially those who are overweight.
Glucare 500 uses

Blood Sugar Control: Glucare 500 lowers blood glucose levels by reducing its production in the liver, decreasing its absorption from the intestines, and improving the cells’ sensitivity to insulin, helping the body make better use of available insulin.

Type 2 Diabetes: Prescribed for adults and children aged 10 years and older when diet and exercise alone are not sufficient to control blood sugar.

Monotherapy or Combination Therapy: Can be used alone or with other antidiabetic drugs (oral medications or insulin) to enhance glycemic control.

How to Use Glucare Tablets

Typical Adult Dose: Usually starts at 500 mg or 850 mg twice or three times daily, with a maximum dose of 3000 mg per day.

Children (10 years and older): Usually starts at 500 mg or 850 mg once daily, with a maximum dose of 2000 mg per day.

Take tablets with or after meals to reduce stomach upset. Swallow whole with a glass of water—do not crush or chew.

Once-daily dose: Take with breakfast.

Twice-daily dose: Take with breakfast and dinner.

Three-times daily dose: Take with breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
