Ferplex 40Mg Iron Oral Solution

Ferplex  Iron is a liquid dietary supplement containing iron protein succinylate. It is used for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia in both children and adults.

Benefits and Uses of Ferplex Iron Support

• Used to treat and prevent low iron levels in the blood and to maintain normal iron stores in the body.

• Treatment of iron deficiency anemia in children, adults, during pregnancy, or while breastfeeding.

How to Use Ferplex Oral Solution

• Recommended adult dose: 1 to 2 vials per day (equivalent to 40–80 mg of trivalent iron), divided into two doses (preferably before meals).

• Recommended dose for children: 1.5 ml per kg of body weight per day (equivalent to 4 mg/kg/day of iron), divided into two doses (preferably before meals).

• The solution can be consumed directly from the vial or diluted with water.

• Duration of treatment: Continue until normal iron stores are restored, typically for 2 to 3 months.

Side Effects

• Gastrointestinal disturbances may occur (can be reduced by lowering the dose or discontinuing treatment):

• Diarrhea.

• Constipation.

• Nausea.

• Upper abdominal pain.

• Iron may cause stool to appear black or dark gray.

Precautions and Warnings

• Treatment duration should not exceed 6 months, unless there is ongoing blood loss, heavy menstruation, or pregnancy.

• Underlying conditions causing iron deficiency or anemia should be properly diagnosed and treated.

• Contains milk proteins; caution is advised in patients with milk protein intolerance due to the risk of allergic reactions.

• Vials contain sorbitol and must not be used in patients with rare hereditary fructose intolerance.

• Also contains parabens (methyl and propyl parahydroxybenzoate), which may cause delayed allergic reactions.

Contraindications

Do not use this product in the following cases:

• Hypersensitivity to the active substance or any other ingredient.

• Hemosiderosis or haemochromatosis (iron overload conditions).

• Aplastic anemia, hemolytic anemia, or anemia due to impaired iron utilization (such as sideroblastic anemia).

• Chronic pancreatitis and liver cirrhosis caused by iron overload.

Drug Interactions

• Iron may reduce the absorption or effectiveness of medications such as: tetracyclines, bisphosphonates, quinolones, penicillamine, thyroxine, levodopa, carbidopa, and alpha-methyldopa. It is recommended to separate the intake of these medications and iron by at least 2 hours.

• Chloramphenicol may delay the response to iron therapy.

• Iron absorption is reduced when taken with substances found in milk, tea, coffee, and vegetables (such as phosphates, phytates, and oxalates). These should also be taken at least 2 hours apart from iron supplements.

5-What happens if the product arrives damaged or incorrect?
