Emidol 500Mg 24Tab

Paracetamol is an analgesic (painkillers) and antipyretic drug that is used to temporarily relieve mild-to-moderate pain and fever. 

Ingredients of Emidol Paracetamol 500 mg

•  The active substance is paracetamol. Each tablet contains 500mg of paracetamol. 

•  The other ingredients are maize starch, purified talc, stearic acid, povidone, and soluble starch.

What is Paracetamol 500 mg used for?

It is used for the relief of:

• Headache

• Migraine

• Backache

• Rheumatic and muscle pain

• Mild arthritis/osteoarthritis

• Toothache

• Period pain (dysmenorrhea)

• Colds and flu symptoms

• Sore throat

• Sinus pain

• Post-operative pain

• Fever (pyrexia)

Paracetamol 500 mg Dosage

Adults and children over 16

• The usual dose of paracetamol is 1 -2 tablets every 4 - 6 hours as needed.

• Wait at least 4 hours before taking another dose.

•  Do not take more than 8 doses in any 24-hour period.

Children aged 10-15 years:

• Give 1 tablet every 4 to 6 hours as needed. Do not give more

than 4 tablets in 24 hours.

• Do not take more frequently than every 4 hours.

• Do not give to children under 10 years. 

If you take more paracetamol than you should:

• Talk to a doctor if you take too much of this medicine even if you feel well. This is because too much paracetamol can cause delayed, serious liver damage. 

• Remember to take any remaining tablets and the pack with you. This is so the doctor knows what you have taken. 

If you forget to take a dose at the right time:

take it as soon as you remember. However, do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

Side Effects of Emidol 500 Mg

Paracetamol is usually safe when taken as directed, but side effects can occur, like:

• Allergic reactions: Swelling, rash, or hives—seek immediate help.

• Blood disorders: Look out for unexplained bruising or bleeding.

• Liver damage (due to overdose): Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, yellowing skin/eyes.

• Other uncommon effects: Temporary nausea, upset stomach, or headache.

Contraindications for Use of Paracetamol

• Paracetamol is metabolized by the liver. Patients with severe liver failure or liver disease should only use paracetamol under strict medical supervision, or may be contraindicated.
  
  

Warnings and Precautions

• Liver and kidney conditions: Use with caution if you have liver or kidney problems. Prolonged use or high doses can stress the liver.

• Overdose risk:Taking more than the recommended amount or using multiple paracetamol products can cause severe liver injury.

 Talk to your doctor before taking these tablets if:

Drug Interactions

Tell your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines:

• Paracetamol-containing products

• Warfarin (anticoagulants)

• Cholestyramine

• Metoclopramide/Domperidone

• Liver enzyme inducers

• Keep out of reach of children.

4-How can I request a return or replacement?

In the event of a return request: After confirmation, a return bill of lading will be issued and sent to the customer so that he delivers it* to the shipping company with the products in their original condition.

After confirming receipt by the shipping company, the process of returning the amount* minus the shipping value will begin within 5-7 business days.

In the event of an exchange request, a new shipping value will be calculated for the new order.

5-What happens if the product arrives damaged or incorrect?

In the event that the wrong product arrives from the shipping company (except for refrigerator medicines, milk, and baby food) or the wrong product arrives from Al-Jawaher Al-Mumayaz Pharmacy, please contact customer service, and after confirming the problem, the amount will be returned to the customer after the product is delivered to the shipping company.

If the problem is confirmed, we will bear the cost of sending the product to the shipping company’s branch via delivery applications, up to a maximum of 20 riyals, if it is confirmed that the shipping company’s branch is very far away.

6-What happens if the product arrives opened or used?

If the product arrives opened or used, the return request will be denied.

7-What happens if the customer does not receive the order from the shipping company and the product is returned to the shop?

If the customer does not receive the order from the shipping company and the product is returned to the shop, the shop will refund the customer's money, minus the shipping cost.
