Azopt eye drops are used to treat elevated intraocular pressure by reducing the production of aqueous humor within the eye, which, when overproduced, contribute to increased eye pressure. Consequently, these drops help in the treatment of glaucoma.
Azopt eye drops composition
Azopt contains 10 mg/mL of brinzolamide, a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor. This helps decrease the production of aqueous humor in the eye, thereby lowering elevated intraocular pressure.

Azopt eye drops are used for:

Azopt eye drops dosage

The usual dosage is one drop in the affected eye twice daily.

Maintain a minimum interval of five minutes between Azopt and any other eye drop being used.

It is recommended to close the eye and place a fingertip on the corner of the eye near the nose for two minutes after application to prevent systemic absorption and enhance the drug's effect on the eye.

Remove contact lenses before using Azopt and wait 15 minutes before wearing them.
