Diphereline 11.25 mg long-acting injections help treat prostate cancer in men by reducing testosterone levels, which may otherwise promote the growth of this cancer. This makes the medication an effective option in managing this malignant disease.

Composition of Diphereline

Diphereline PR injections contain Triptorelin Embonate, a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist that helps to:

• Lower testosterone levels in men to inhibit the growth of prostate cancer.
• Reduce estrogen levels in women.

Diphereline 11.25 mg uses

Diphereline PR is used to treat advanced prostate cancer that has spread to surrounding tissues and/or other parts of the body.

Diphereline dosage

• Diphereline is administered via intramuscular injection.
• The dose is 11.25 mg once every 3 months (4 times a year).
• Cancer symptoms may worsen initially when starting treatment, as the drug can temporarily increase testosterone levels. This occurs only during the first phase of treatment.
